1 – 7 January 2019
Happy New Year to everybody. I hope you enjoyed yourself over the season. Personally, I’m still trying to get to grips with being organised and planning this year, but it’s coming along. I hope you’re getting on top of everything that you have to do for this year.
One of the tasks I’ve been working on is setting up a FREE 30-day email challenge for you on SEO. It will start on 28th January and will focus on teaching on-site (as in on your website) SEO in bite-sized chunks.
It teaches how SEO works and how to add it to your website content to improve your traffic. It takes the mystery out of SEO. Crafted in the form of easily digestible pieces it will land in your inbox each day. You can sign up for it here.
This week’s small marketing business news:
I’ve found a few interesting posts this week that I’ve listed below. However, there are less than usual as it’s been the holiday season and people are just getting back into the swing of things.
You can just scan over them and perhaps something will resonate with you. The reason I do this is to try to save you time. I go out and find what might interest you and you can just scan through and pick up on anything that’s useful or grabs your interest.
Marketing Predictions for 2019 from Top Marketers – this is Social Media Examiner’s collection of predictions for this year. The predictions include forecasts of brands going back to social media, LinkedIn becoming even stronger and how essential it is to prepare for smart audio (Alexa and smartphones).
My addition to the above predictions is how important ‘personalisation’ is. Now there are so many businesses with an online presence, knowing how to connect to clients and giving them quality valuable content is key. It’s important to really understand your audience and what they want from you. It’s what will put you ahead and is why people will follow you or subscribe to you. I’m definitely going to be putting the focus on this in 2019 and I’ll be asking you regularly about how I can help.
More small business marketing news
Amazon Says Alexa Shopping Growth – Building on one of the points made above about smart audio coming onto the scene, Amazon has said that Alexa voice shopping tripled during the holiday season.
Improving SEO for eCommerce Products – If you’re selling products online, then you might want to take a look at this.. I’ve been working on a client’s products on their website this week. I’m definitely going to check this over to see if I’ve optimised it in the best way according to the person who wrote this.
So that’s it on the must-read small business marketing link list this week. If there are any small business marketing topics that you’d like me to cover in blog posts or any other content, do let me know. As I say to my clients, I’m here to help and happy to do so. And don’t forget to sign up to my 30 days of SEO email challenge. Sign up below to receive the weekly link list in your inbox each week.
